Do you have those go-to must-haves when you get ready in the morning? Those products that as long as they stay as amazing as they are then you know you look pretty and presentable and confident? Well for me as long as my Foundation is on point and my lips are done then I feel beautiful and put together for the day!
Without diving into all of the lovely skin issues I have, let’s just say the three main issues I have to combat with my skin is: Texture (acne scarring and breakouts), uneven pigmentation (sun spots & red spots), and my skin is SO OILY. In the past what I’ve tried has left my skin oily and bumpy and a little too shiny for my liking! About a year ago I was introduced to a foundation by Shine Cosmetics that BLEW my Mind! I’ve always believed that you can have a few different foundations you like depending on the occasion your makeup is for and the current state of your skin. The BB Cream from shine is my go-to when I need long wear and I know I’ll be hot or oily.
Moving on to the other beauty step I do to feel put together every day is LIPS! I have a love for Lipstick that is honestly only a year old or so! Haha! For some reason, I always looked at myself as someone who couldn’t pull off anything other than a lipgloss or tinted chapstick because I think I just didn’t want to draw attention? Boy am I glad that I decided to get my feet wet and have some fun with color! I won’t say I’m the most adventurous but I can definitely go from light pinks and nudes to plum and red and feel confident.
When I look for lip wear I need something that very pigmented, keeps my lips moisturized, and isn’t something I need to reapply constantly! Shine Cosmetics has beautiful lip combos and their products work so well together, it really makes it easy!
- I always start with a Lip Liner. Depending on the person I choose to slightly overline my lips and then shade from the inside of the corners of my mouth to the center of my lips, very lightly.

2. Next, I choose my Lipstick that will be my Main color. I love the LipLast from Shine because it lasts for HOURS and does NOT transfer! It is a one-step application and is easy to remove with a baby wipe or makeup wipe when you want to take it off! My favorite LipLast colors are Honor, Reliable, Genuine, and Timeless!
3. Finally, I finish with a LipGloss if want a shiny finish or just want to add more dimension to the color!
