What a year it has been! We are officially in 2020. Can you believe it? This year feels like it FLEW by, but for the most part, it was amazing. I’ve spent the last week reflecting on all of the blessings I’ve encountered this year and dreaming about what’s to come in 2020. I have a feeling it’s going to give 2019 a run for its money and I know that’s hard to do!
It was hard to pick one moment of 2019 that stood out to me, so I decided to share four of them with you. I’m a big believer that we are meant to share our experiences, successes, joys and failures with one another, and the start of a new year is the perfect time to do it!
One of the best moments this year was opening Jess Salon. This was hands down, a dream come true. I always knew one day I would open a salon, but I had no idea how incredible it would be. Everyday I get to work beside beautiful, talented women who constantly encourage me and teach me more than I could have imagined. We’ve created a place where our clients can come and relax while feeling their most beautiful. I can’t believe this was the year my dreams came true, but it was. And I’m just getting started.
Another moment this year I’ll never forget was when I was invited to present at Behind the Chair in Nashville on behalf of HALOCOUTURE extensions. I was among some of the top stylists in the industry, talking about something I LOVE while sharing it with my husband and best friend. It doesn’t get much better than that. Standing on that stage was a surreal moment in my career, but I was so proud of myself because I knew how hard I worked to get there. Like I said earlier, I truly believe I’m just getting started.
Next, Jesse and I went to Shanghai, China this year and this trip was life changing in so many ways. This was truly a turning point for my perspective and vision of what is possible and I what I hope to achieve in the long run. It was humbling and motivating to be submersed in such a unique culture and I’ll never forget how it felt. It brought Jesse and I together on our goals and gave us the perspective we needed to take our life to the next level.
Lastly, signing the lease to expand Jess Salon was another life-changing moment this year. At the beginning of the year, if you would have told me that I would already be expanding, I’m not sure I would have believed you. But I’ve learned throughout my career that when an opportunity presents itself, you go for it. This expansion is going to open so many doors and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
Even though these are the moments that stand out most this year, there were so many other beautiful moments from a trip to Disney with my family, to a Vegas overnight to see my favorite comedian with my hubby and countless moments at Jess Salon with my stylists and clients that will keep me smiling throughout 2020.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to continue building my career and serving people for another year. Thank you for giving me the platform to do what I love. Happy New Year, Everyone!
